How do I reset the Ring RSC806 charging mode?
Disconnect the RSC806 car battery smart charger from both battery and mains. Leave for 5 minutes unconnected. Plug the battery charger back into the mains and immediately press the Charging Mode button once or more times until the Mode Menu is available. Do not hold down the Charging Mode button continuously.
Why doesn't the RSC806 Car Smart Charger switch to Maintenance Mode?
With the RSC806 car battery charger, you can easily give your battery a quick and efficient charge. Its smart technology will detect any potential issues with your battery and provide a full charge in no time. It won't switch to maintenance mode until the 'battery charge symbol' is completely full, ensuring that your battery is fit for travel. If the symbol never changes to display a 'full' charge, the RSC806 car battery charger will not switch to maintenance mode. That indicates your battery may still be functioning, but it is no longer in good condition due to age or because it discharged completely at some point.
Is the RSC806 Car Smart Charger right for my battery?
If you battery is of the types listed above and has a capacity of 24 Amps to 50 Amps, the RSC806 car battery smart charger is a great fit. As a rough guide, take the capacity of your battery and divide it by the highest Amp rating of your charger to calculate how long it takes to recharge your battery. If you have a 30 Amps car battery and it is 50% charged, then it will take 2.5 hours to bring your battery back up to full charge.
