Ring DC3000 Dashcam: Wifi and Ring Connect App enabled dash cam for driving peace of mind

Save and download footage all in one place - the Ring Connect app. Gather evidence of collisions or theft attempts in full HD and with a 130° field of vision. With a 2" screen, magnetic mount and dark colour, it will stay discreet and secure. Parking mode detects collisions even when stationary, and G-sensor saves moments during collisions. Warns you when other cars leave their lane and GPS logs journeys. Comes with 12V DC power cable and spare 3M adhesive mount.

The dashcam does come equipped with a small battery that has 2 functions: Maintain Day and Time, and carry on recording for a very short period if the vehicle has been hit & the 12V supply has been potentially interrupted. What the battery will not do is to allow the dashcam to operate without the 12V power supply. Another tip worth knowing: Many 12V outlets interrupt supply when the vehicle is being turned on - Turn the dashcam on after the engine has been started in order to avoid the dashcam shutting down while the engine is being cranked.

Great little dash cam at a affordable price, easy to install with the trim tool provided, easy to set up camera and quick release by magnet connection, links to phone app where content can be down loaded .... Great Dash Cam for the price.

The Dash Cam does everything it should and does it very well. What does let it down is the mount. It allows for forward and rearward rotation only, not side to side or left to right. This means you have one go at getting it in the correct position on the screen. Although you do get a second sticky pad. I find the magnet for fixing the cam to the mount very powerful, I have found that it is a good idea to remove a cam from the screen in summer when the sun is on it, pulling on this mounting system is I suspect going to cause the sticky pad to fail. As far as I can find out you cannot purchase a second mount and power lead which would allow you to use the cam in another vehicle. Great Dash Cam, poor mounting system.

I used VRP on my classis cars dashboard and it revived it to "as new". As this was only applied recently I cannot comment on how long it will stay this way. However it was that easy to apply that having to redo will not take much effort.
Also came very well packaged.
