How do I reset the Ring RSC808 charging mode?
Disconnect the RSC808 car battery smart charger from both battery and mains. Leave for 5 minutes unconnected. Plug the battery charger back into the mains and immediately press the Charging Mode button once or more times until the Mode Menu is available. Do not hold down the Charging Mode button continuously.
Why doesn't the RSC808 Car Smart Charger switch to Maintenance Mode?
On the RSC808 car battery smart charger display, the battery symbol needs to fill completely with 'blocks', none of which must flash. If the symbol never changes to display a 'full' charge, the RSC808 car battery charger will not switch to maintenance mode. That indicates your battery may still be functioning, but it is no longer in good condition due to age or because it was allowed to 'go flat'.
Is the RSC808 Car Smart Charger right for my battery?
If you battery is of the types listed above and has a capacity of 40 Amps to 120 Amps, the RSC808 car battery smart charger is a great fit. As a rough guide, take the capacity of your battery and divide it by the highest Amp rating of your charger to calculate how long it takes to recharge your battery. If you have a 40 Amps car battery and it is 50% charged, then it will take 2.5 hours to bring your battery back up to full charge.
